​TreeEarth Co., Ltd. released its ADAS(Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)technology-based DMS (Driver Monitoring System) I-VUE D10. In the first half of 2019, it plans to expand into DMS-mounted vehicle black box and electric equipment will be announced.

• I-VUE D10 is a driver assistance system, designed to improve driver’s concentration while driving from ADAS(Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) field. Smart infra-red camera monitors driver in real time and detects drowsiness driving, front-distraction, and carelessness and gives alarms. It is an excellent state-of-the-art system to prevent traffic accidents.
• Traffic accidents caused by driver's drowsiness and front distraction are increasing every year in the world.
• According to statistics of USA NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) in 2017, car accidents such as cargo trucks, the number of elderly drivers as well as long-distance running buses is increasing by 7% every year. It is continuously on the rise. 
• Traffic accidents caused by drivers in 20s to 30s have been increasing as well by their carelessness such as a mobile device use and front distraction due to machine operation inside the vehicle resulted more than 10% in last 10 years.
• I-VUE D10 is one of the smart electronic devices applied inside the vehicle that make drivers develop safer driving habits and better intensive concentration to prevent such traffic accidents. In OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) countries, about 73% of drivers use car driving recorder (dash cams). It is already common culture to use video recordings for solving post-accident problem.
• Professor Kim Kyung-Taek in Korea Institute of Science and Technology commented that most nations are providing drivers with lessons and have educational campaign policies concerning traffic accident prevention. He emphasized digital devices which can detect and alarm driver’s sleepiness, front-distraction, carelessness, etc. should be utilized to prevent accident.
• I-Vue D10 is mounted on the dashboard in the front of driver's seat, it monitors driver's face and pupil in real-time​ and detects eyelid closing or long distraction within the coverage of 90 degrees left-right and 30 degrees up-down. If it detects drowsy or distracted driver, it will prompt alarm sound and LED warnings. If driver’s undesirable behavior is prolonged, the intensity of alarm or warning gets louder and more intensive. 
• Depending on situations, an additional vibrating device can be attached to driver's seatbelt and seat to give stronger and alternative alarm.

• Go Kyeong-Tae, CEO of I-VUE developer, TreeEarth Co., Ltd. said, "I-VUE considered comprehensive ADAS system and application expansions from its product planning and development stage." With the first half of 2019, it will complete driver-monitoring system which combines DMS system and mobile network. In addition, it will launch additional DMS-mounted products in the market in cooperation with electronic device makers for existing car dash cams, navigation systems, etc.
  
• Domestic and overseas driver monitoring systems including I-VUE, are expected to be extended from regular and long-distance vehicles in public sector to corporate & private passenger vehicles, freight vehicles as well as social welfare service vehicles in the future.
  
• Ph.D.Won Jong-Seok of Seoul Research Institute commented that policies for driver's health against the complexity of operating in-vehicle equipment, air quality, etc. are required. Also, he expected that in advanced countries like Japan, China, etc. where elderly drivers over 60 years old are increasing rapidly, application of ADAS-based driver monitoring system like I-VUE to public sector would be accelerated.
